CHERNOBYL

The Chernobyl disaster was a nuclear accident that occurred on Saturday 26 April 1986, at the No. 4 reactor in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, near the city of Pripyat in the north of the Ukrainian SSR in the Soviet Union.  

I wrote this piece of writing with the voice typing, on Google Docs.

 1986  reactor number 4 exploded when some of the workers were calling the firefighters not so the firefighters came at 1:30 a.m. when they all got out all the firefighters were getting their hoses until one of the firefighters touch the debris  After that one of them have radiation on their hands 

After that happened after the explosion  there was a radiation cloud    Radiation  cloud   was near the city of Pripyat.  Everyone in the urgently had to leave the city

My Digital footprint

 I don't use Youtube or Facebook but I spend a lot of time on my chromebook playing games.

This is a map of my digital footprint over one weekend day.

You can talk to other students in Prodigy but I don't.  Most of my footprint is seperate from other internet users apart from my blogger.

I know a fraction of my maths.

I have been learning about fractions.  In fractions there is a top number and a bottom number.   The bottom number counts how many bits to choose from and the top number counts how many pieces are chosen.  For example in Number 1 below there are 6 pieces and 4 pieces are chosen so the fraction is             4/6    or   4 over 6.

I thought this maths work was easy.  I didn’t do all of the worksheet because I was a little bit tired.

Surveys, fair questions and statistics.

 In Maths this we have been doing statistics and learning to read information on a graph. 

We did this because everyone has to be able to read graphs and talk about data. It was easy for me to read data like I could tell that ‘Sunny Weather, was almost the most common type of weather but Cloudy was the most common.

I could also tell it was snowy on 4 days.

Do you think being able to read graphs is important?

Rata Makes a Movie

 Today we were making a movie about the school values.  I am with the Rata Group and we are making our project on the Value Kaitiakitanga.  That value is about looking the Environment.  We are going to make our presentation using Google slides and putting an animation on it.   I think it will be good and awesome to do this. I will show you when I am finishes.

Writing and Recrafting and now I am a good writer.

 In writing we are making an e-book.  We are doing this on Google Docs and Slides.

I am writing a story and learning how to re-craft.  Re-crafting means making your story better by going back over it and trying to improve it.

Today I flew an airliner.

 Today we went online and used an online flight simulator and I flew a DC3 aircraft over San Francisco.  We were learning

about reading instructions and problem solving.  I collaborated with Victor and we found out how to use the brakes and engine.

I learnt that I should have read the instructions first.  I also learnt that it was easier doing learning

fly the plane when I had someone to help.
